James Protano is a visual artist originally from White Plains, New York. In 2003, James earned his BFA in Graphic Design and Painting from the School of Art & Design at Alfred University. To complete his education, he also studied art abroad in Cortona Italy. He has shown internationally.

At a young age, James has always felt the need for self expression through painting and 2-dimensional art. During college, his interest was refined, but it wasn’t until he was unbound by the parameters of school that he decided to really experiment, leading him to his present abstract works.

James currently lives in Brooklyn.
